The Columbarium at Huguenot Memorial Church in Pelham Manor
Facing Pelhamdale Avenue in front of the Huguenot Memorial Church located
at 901 Pelhamdale Avenue in the Village of Pelham Manor is a quiet and
beautiful Columbarium. A photograph showing the entrance to the
Columbarium appears below.
A Columbarium typically is described as a vault with niches for urns
containing the ashes of deceased persons. The Columbarium at Huguenot
Memorial Church is a quiet and beautiful spot with lovely memorial plaques
that reflect members of many families involved with the early development
of the Village of Pelham Manor.

Among the memorial plaques is one dedicated to members of the armed forces
who died during the two World Wars. The memorial plaque, which hangs high
on the stone wall to the left as visitors entered the arched gate to the
Columbarium states:
"IN MEMORIAM
WORLD WAR I
FRANKLIN C. FAIRCHILD
WORLD WAR II
RICHARD L. ELLIOTT
EDWARD D. POTTER, JR.
C. WILLIAM LAW
JAMES H. SCOTT
BERTLEY H. MOBERG
JOHN L. SCOTT
KENNETH H. MUIR
DAVID G. SOUTHER
WILLIAM F. THOMAN"
A photograph of the memorial plaque appears below.
