- First time John Pell (2d Lord of the Manor), his heirs and "asignes" (sic)
are obligated to make annual payment "for ever" of 20 Shillings to the
British Monarchy based on October 20, 1689 letters patent issued by NY
Governor Thomas Dongan confirming validity of Thomas Pell's June 27, 1654
purchase of lands from local Native Americans.
