This Day in Pelham History
June 8
06/08/1661 - John Richbell makes a
treaty with the Indians by which he became the "principal proprietor" of
Mamaroneck. Richbell later had a dispute with Thomas Pell over ownership of a
parcel of land on one of the three necks at Mamaroneck.
